Vehicle Audit of Financed Cars Within Dealerships
Fiat-brand cars are built in several locations around the world. Outside Italy, the largest country of production is Brazil, where the Fiat brand is the market leader. The group also has factories in Argentina, Poland and Mexico where Fiat-brand vehicles are manufactured at plants owned and operated by FCA US, for export to the United States, Brazil, Italy and other markets and a long history of licensing manufacture of its products in other countries. Fiat has invested for a long time in South America, mainly in Brazil where has been the market leader for many years, and in Argentina.
REQUIREMENT
Fiat needed a solution of auditing vehicles and documentation of financed cars within dealerships, so required RGIS to provide the following:
- National coverage, to cover 20 cities in South America
- Audit established dealerships
- Check physical cars and the supporting documentation for each vehicle
- Identify variances
SOLUTION
Fiat partnered with RGIS to complete the vehicle audit project, and provided the following:
- Scheduled a team of five experienced RGIS auditors
- The vehicle audit process included:
- Counting quantity of cars
- Reviewing of general characteristic of each unit and condition
- Inspection of all supporting documentation for each vehicle
RESULTS
Fiat found by outsourcing the vehicle audit project to RGIS, the following results were achieved:
- All cars were accounted for at each of the established dealerships
- All documentation was checked for every financed vehicle
- Vehicle audits to be completed bi-annually, due to the accuracy of the audits
