Pharmacy Distribution Centres Wall to Wall Inventory Counts
One of the largest pharmacy chains in Brazil, with 432 stores and has a presence in 12 states with more than 7000 employees required the support of RGIS. The pharmacy chain has two distribution centres in the cities of Benevides and Aquiraz, and is opening another distribution centre in the city of Guarulhos, offering health and beauty products through stores and online.
REQUIREMENT
The large pharmacy chain needed an accurate inventory count of two distribution centres, in preparation of opening a third distribution centre, so required RGIS to provide the following:
- Complete inventory counts of two distribution centres in Benevides and Aquiraz
- Experience within a distribution centre environment
- Counts to be completed over a short time frame
- Accuracy to be a priority
SOLUTION
The large pharmacy chain partnered with RGIS to complete the retail pharmacy inventory count of two distribution centres, and provided the following:
Benevides:
- Scheduled an experienced team of 68 RGIS auditors
- Counted 6 million items
Aquiraz:
- Scheduled an experienced team of 74 RGIS auditors
- Counted 5.4 million items
RESULTS
The large pharmacy chain found that by outsourcing the retail pharmacy inventory count of two distribution centres to RGIS, the following results were achieved:
- Above 99% accuracy for counts of both distribution centres
- Counts completed in two days
- Total of 11.4 million items accurately counted
